Intense and complex nose. Winter spices, stone fruit, baked pastry, vanilla ,delicate oak.
Surprisingly smooth for a cask strength whiskey. Fruits open up and move to the foreground. Cherries, plumbs, raisins, orange peel, figs, dates. Spice notes open up with some cinnamon. There is also some mocha and brownd sugar to add to the complexity. The marrying of dark fruit and spice notes with sweet notes in the background makes this one of the best expressions of Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey.
Long spice finish with a subtle note oak and mixed baked fruit.
