Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Whiskey is a unique single grain Irish whiskey that has been aged in both ex-Bourbon and Oloroso sherry barrels. To find the best Oloroso casks, we go off the beaten track to the small Andalusian town of Montilla, home of the famous PX grape. Here we can talk one on one with producers, chose the bodega, the liquid, the time seasoning, and eventually the casks. This gives us more influence on the flavours in our Double Barrel whiskey.

Nose: Richness on the nose with aromas of dark fruit, and hints of floral lemongrass and a touch of nutmeg.
Palate: Is sweet and creamy with flavours of butterscotch, honey and peppercorn that help highlight the Bourbon cask notes.
Finish: There are lingering notes of ginger spices with a faint glimmer of almond to end a complex Irish Whiskey from start to finish.
