Hailing from France, Olivier Riviere has a unique approach to wine making compared to his neighbors in Rioja. His focus on terroir, and commitment to organic and biodynamic farming, as well as minimal-intervention techniques, such as indigenous yeast fermentation, gentle maceration, and varied aging vessels, reinforce his dedication to expressing the true character of each site.
Ganko, using Garnacha (80%), and Mazuelo (20%0 are handpicked and fermented in concrete tank. The result is fresh red and dark fruits, with some brilliant spice from 18 months ageing in French oak. Silky tannins, round body and a long finish leave this wine as an excellent well balanced Spanish red wine.
