Old Monk Amber rum is mellowed in oak for 20 year before being bottled at 42.8%. It has a golden hue with reddish glints coming through. On the nose, there is immediate light brown sugar, butterscotch, vanilla, orange peel, apricot and a subtle oakiness.
The palate is smooth and rounded with hints of brown sugar, honey and baking spices. The medium finish is clean with a soft lift and should leav you with sublte vanilla and sweet spice.
