The palate is full-bodied, the palate is energetic, fresh, elegant with layers of red and black fruit with a soft, round texture and a lively minty finish.
Le Clarence de Haut-Brion 2018 is a blend of 58.2% Merlot, 28.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9.7% Cabernet Franc and 3.6% Petit-Verdot, harvested from September 6 to October 2. Deep garnet purple in colour, the wine opens with a very serious nose of earthy notes with tilled freshly plowed soil, truffles, undergrowth and crushed rocks, giving way to notions of chocolate pastry, kirsch and currants with hints of cassis and pencil curls.
