I Vigneri Vino Rosso

A traditional red from Mount Etna by Salvo Foti’s I Vigneri, made from 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio.

The grapes are harvested by hand and foot-trodden without destemming in the traditional Etnean palmento. Spontaneous fermentation and maturation in buried terracotta amphorae preserve a direct expression of the grapes, with no oak ageing.
