A lively, elegant and beautifully drinkable Chilean red made from 100% Cinsault in Guarilihue, Itata Valley. Coastal influence and granite-rich soils bring freshness to a wine with fragrant red fruit, bright acidity and silky tannins. Delicious lightly chilled.
Bright, translucent ruby red. Lifted aromas of fresh cherries, raspberries, violets and delicate spice. Juicy red berries follow on the palate, with lively acidity, supple fine-grained tannins and a refreshing, gently savoury finish.
Guarilihue in Chile's southern Itata Valley lies close to the Pacific Ocean. Dry-farmed, traditionally trained Cinsault vines grow on granite soils with quartz, producing an expressive style combining aromatic fruit and natural vibrancy.
De Martino champions Itata's heritage vineyards and sustainable, low-irrigation viticulture. Producer notes describe brief cool pre-fermentation maceration, fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation in stainless steel to retain freshness and varietal character.
Serve lightly chilled, around 14–16°C. Excellent with grilled salmon or tuna, roast chicken, charcuterie, mushroom dishes, pizza, tapas and tomato-based pasta.
