A blend of Niellucciu (Sangiovese) and Sciaccarellu (Mammolo) and grown in the central mountianous region of Corsica. Vineyards are at higher elevation and surrounded by forests to give added protection to the fruit. All of the grapes are grown organicly and biodynamicly. Horse drawn ploughs, chicken and sheep roam freely around the vineyard to kill weeds and pests. Bees kept nearby add to biodiversity.
A medium bodied red, with fresh fruits like strawberry, raspberry cherry and blackberry. Half the wine is aged in oak and the other aged in concrete before blending. This offers balance between roundness and fruitiness. Excellent length and textured.
