Lough Gill North Star is a festive, limited-edition barrel-aged imperial stout from Lough Gill Brewing Co. in County Sligo, created as part of the brewery's 2026 Barrel Aged Series in collaboration with Boann Distillery.
For this winter release, Lough Gill selected fully aged bourbon barrels from its cellar, blended them and infused the beer with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla pods and cocoa nibs. The result is a decadent, deeply warming imperial stout with rich chocolate and cocoa flavours, fragrant winter spices, smooth vanilla and the influence of bourbon-barrel ageing.
Designed to evoke Christmas in a glass, North Star is a luxurious beer to savour during long winter evenings.
