Rustavelli Saperavi

From the Kakheti region of Georgia and their synonymous grape variety, Saperavi. Shilda winery is one of Georgia's leading wineries. A complex and refined wine. Full-bodied with rich blackberry, black cherry and plum flavours, complemented by notes of spice, liquorice and soft tannins. Fresh acidity gives the wine balance and a long finish. The fermentation happens in stainless steel, with an extra long maceration period to extract colour and structure. Aged in french barriques for 18 months to soften the wine. The wine is wonderfully rounded and balanced, both powerful and elegant.
