Louis Bouillot Perle de Vignes Grand Reserve Brut is a pale gold in colour with a fine bead. Very doughy on the nose, revealing light aromas of toast, fresh pear and smoke. Lightweight and dry on the palate, but it offers up pretty fruit, minerals and some pepper. Rich texture with enticing flavours of baked granny smith apples reminiscent of an apple crisp. Acidic finish, but with a little sweetness. Its Cremant, not champagne after all.
Perle de Vigne Grand Reserve Brut is naturally fermented and matured twenty four months in its own bottle, achieving maximum aromatic qualities and finesse imparted by time spent on sedimentary yeast lees.
