Bodegas Bhilar, owned and run by two of Riojas most exciting winemakers, husband and wife duo, David Sampedro and Melanie Hickman. They cultivate biodynamic vineyards in the Alavesa region of Rioja. And the Graciano grapes are grown at higher elevation and get plenty of sunlight.
The wine is aged in large French barrels to soften, but leaves very little oak notes. Fresh acidity and robust, with strawberry, cherry and some floral and pepper notes. Rich tannins, and deep ruby colouring.
