This expressive red from the Manchuela region has really stood out for us. A blend of organic Syrah, Bobal and other varieties, including Touriga Nacional. The Bobal are old vines, roughly 80 years old and are between 700-1000 meters above sea level. The result is juiuce that has an abundance of concentration and pure fruit flavours.
The nose is bright dark fruits, like black cherry, blackcurrant and plum. Aged in large french oak leaves touches of cinnamon and cedar notes. It is clean and dry, with a long finish. The winery perfectly straddles the line of elegance and that natural feel of a wine that has had little intervention.
