Casa de Passarella is one of the oldest and most highly regarded wineries in the Dao region of Portugal. "The Oenoligist" is an expert blend of traditional Dao varieties like Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro and Tinta Roriz. It is complex and elegant, with vibrant notes of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry and plum, with layers of violet, herbs, ceder and tobacco.
Old vines at high altitude, there is great fruit purity and freshness. It is aged in French oak to add depth and structure. A wonderfully balanced wine with medium body, medium acidity and structured tannins.
