Bodegas Roda Reserva Rioja 2009 Vintage

Another very dry summer was aided by a wet preceding spring and heavy rain just before harvest. 

This wine is intense, full of character and depth. Rich red and dark fruits, plum, cherry, blackberry, and sultry chocolate and sweet spice, vanilla and cardamom. 

Silky and smooth. Delicately fresh without losing the warmth and elegant body of the wine. 

Blend of Tempranillo (95%) and Graciano (5%).  Spontaneous fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. 16 months ageing in French oak barrels, 50% new, 50% second use.
