Very impressive blended whiskey from the new Roe & Co Irish Whiskey Distillery. For a new distillery to offer a non - chill filtered whiskey with an ABV of 45% is very welcome and a much needed shake up to the blended Irish whiskey market.
Nose:
Delicate, creamy nose with soft vanilla, and brown sugar. Ex bourbon cask influence very evident.
Palate:
Soft notes of apricots, spices, and vanilla.
Finish:
Short and sweet finish
This is a great whiskey to have either neat or on ice. However, it really gives a Hot Toddy or Irish Coffee a real flavour boost. I would highly recommend this over your standard Irish blended whiskey.
