Maker's Mark Bourbon Whisky is distilled to the lowest proof of any US whiskey distillery and that's why this bourbon retains a rich flavour. Also replacing a rye with red winter wheat reduced the burning sensation.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Intense and fruity aromas of spiced honey and mixed peels with little malmsey, oak and hazelnut.
Palate: Full and smooth with flavours of barley malt, rye, spices and a little nut oil, butterscotch and vanilla.
Finish: Quite sweet with notes of butterscotch and dry oak spice.
