Coming from two of Portugal's most innovative and awarded wine makers, Dirk Niepoort and Anselmo Mendes. This is a fantastic example of a Vinho Verde. The grape juice is fermented at low temperatures for a longer period, which helps to keep all of the wonderful aromatics of the Alvarinho variety. 4 months of lees ageing adds rounder feel and more complexity.
Pale colour with lemon hues, notes of citrus and apple are most prominent, with aromatics and floral notes on the long delicate finish. Balanced acidity and freshness as with the best Alvarinho.
