This is a really good introduction to the wines of Suertes del Marqués. It is described as their ‘village wine’ and is an expression of their wine-producing philosophy. A blend of 35 different plots, across altitudes ranging from 350m-750m above sea-level, from both estate and old vine fruit and fruit bought from local growers. Soils differ, but are based on volcanic bedrock. Juicy, fruit-driven cherry and forest fruit character. Some slight earthiness. Soft tannins and crisp acidity make this perfect to serve on the cooler side (approx. 12-13C) and with a variety of food. Perfect for a mid-week supper.
