For this limited offering we pushed beyond the typical barrel-aged beer theory. We got our hands on some Reposado Tequila oak barrels and then aged our new Otra Vez Gose with Lime and Agave. This Trip in the Woods starts out tart yet juicy, with hints of lime. For the finish? The unmistakable silkines of a classic Reposado.
Chocolate Chipotle Stout - 10.9% ABV
As our chocolate Chipotle Stout matured in freshly emptied Kentucky bourbon barrels, the heat from the Chipotle peppers mellowed and the chocolate notes intensified. After aging for nearly two years, we decided this beer was perfect. Velvety smooth notes of bittersweet chocolate and vanilla from the oak are followed by a robust earthiness from the peppers and a long, rich finish.
