Barbeito Madeira Sweet 3 Year Old
Notes from Barbeito Madeira:
Vineyards & Vinification:
Grapes from various quality vineyards from Estreito de Câmara de Lobos and São Vicente were used.
Grapes were pressed in a pneumatic press. Arresting of fermentation takes place at the desired degree of sweetness by adding vinic alcohol (96%).
Maturation & Bottling:
This wine achieves its unique characteristics by the estufagem process. It is then matured in oak casks for up to 3 years before blended and bottled.
Serving & Cellerage:
Best serve between 13oC and low room temperature, 14oC, or if you wish with some ice. It should be kept in a cool dry place. This wine was filtered and does not require decanting. It was bottled ready for drinking and will keep well several months after opening.
Deep brownish colour.
Notes of toffee, coffee, molasses, chocolate and jam. Full-bodied and soft. With a long sweet taste.
Excellent as digestive, accompanies well fruits and desserts.
